Jimmy’s pensioners’ party
COUN Jimmy Eaton’s Pensioners’ Party will be held in Whitworth next month and businesses are being asked to donate raffle prizes.
The charity event, at The Riverside, Market Street, will feature a free raffle and supper, and performances by four artists from 7pm to 10pm on Monday.
Alongside raffle prizes, there will be 80 tickets for a free Christmas lunch at the Rose ’n’ Bowl in Stacksteads. The meal, from 7.30pm to 1am, will have five courses, a disco and two live acts, .
Tickets for the party are on sale at the A, B and D Centre, Burnley Road, Bacup, or call Jimmy on 07907 595933. All proceeds will go to Rossendale Hospice.
