An 18-year-old man who failed to show any compliance with a suspended prison sentence order has been jailed for six months.
Blackburn magistrates heard Wade Rushton had been given the suspended sentence on August 15 for two offences of harassing his stepfather.
Ten days later he was arrested for criminal damage to a window belonging to his girlfriend and at that stage had failed to keep appointments with the probation service.
Rushton, of Marsden Street, Accrington, pleaded guilty to criminal damage to a window belonging to Sarah Smith. He was given a conditional discharge for 12 months for the offence and the 24 weeks suspended prison sentence was activated.
Ian Huggan, defending said his client acknowledged the suspended prison sentence had been recently imposed and he had failed to keep his first appointment with the probation service.
