A FAMILY fun day organised by two best friends has raised more than £115 so far for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

Rachel Weinhold and her friend Karen Winstanley, whose daughter Becky was diagnosed with the disease three years ago when she was just 13, held the event at Broadclough Farm, in Burnley Road, Bacup, where Rachel lives.

Following a successful day, the pair are planning on holding the event again next year.

Rachel said: “Thank you so much to everyone who came, we had a good laugh in the end and managed to raise £115.26, excluding the raffle, for the Cystic Fibrosis Trust.

“ Our food and drink stalls didn't turn up, and didn't let us know they weren't coming. So I’d like to say a thanks to everyone who did a last minute dash to the shop.”
