SINGER songwriter Ian McNabb from the Icicle Works is set to perform in Hyndburn next month.

The band’s lead singer throughout the 80s, has also played with musicians as diverse as Crazy Horse, Mike Scott of the Waterboys, and Danny Thompson from Pentagle.

A spokesman for the Civic Arts Centre, in Union Road, Oswaldtwistle, said: “At the dawn of the 90s, Ian began a stunning solo career, promptly making a Mercury Prize nominated album, Head Like A Rock, with Neil Young’s beloved backing band Crazy Horse.

“He has consistently produced album after album of great songs, even hitting the singles chart again the 2000s with Let The Young Girl Do What She Wants To.”

Tickets for this show, at 7.30pm on Saturday, September 13, cost £20 for two if booked before September 1, or £12 each.
