Child sex allegations
A 27-year-old Padiham man has appeared before Blackburn magistrates charged with arranging a child sex offence. Gary Michael Plant, of Beech Street, was sent on bail to Burnley Crown Court where he will appear on September 1.
Plant is alleged to have contacted a 15-year-old girl through Facebook and, knowing she was only 15, tried to arrange a meeting for a sexual purpose.
