VISITORS to the annual Chipping Agricultural Show on Saturday have been asked to bring any memorabilia, photos or newspaper cuttings about rural life in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), since its designation in 1964.

Funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the AONB, the Scrapbook project is recording people’s memories. It is focusing on how villages have changed since 1964 with the closure of shops and post offices, the development of new services, the influx of new people, how farming has changed, events, and visitors’ activities. All contributors will get a free copy of the Scrapbook publication. For more details e-mail bowlandscrapbook@gmail.com.
