EXTRA room to learn could soon be on the cards for youngsters at a Ramsbottom primary, if school governors can get their way.
Proposals for an 85-square metre extension have been lodged on behalf of Hazelhurst Primary with Bury Council.
The Geoffrey Street school was built in the 1900s and already has two single-storey extensions to the rear.
A planning agent said: “The proposed in-fill extension will form additional classroom space for an existing cramped classroom. It would also upgrade the existing toilet and disabled toilet facilities which are dated.”
