EAST Lancashire revellers have been warned about the dangers of carbon monoxide ahead of the annual Creamfields festival in Daresbury.

Campaign group CO Be Alarmed has said that there are many festival activities which which could cause poisoning, including using barbecues, bonfires, gas cooking appliances and shisha pipes.

The deadly gas which cannot be seen, smelt or tasted, causes dizziness, nausea, breathlessness a loss of consciousness and can be fatal Advice is to take a portable CO alarm and to use fuel burning appliances in the open air.
