SUDELL councillor Paul Browne has blasted Darwen expat Carol Bray after she wrote a letter complaining about the town to the borough council.
Mrs Bray, who left Darwen for Australia 50 years ago, told the Lancashire Telegraph yesterday how she was disappointed at the state of the town and had written a four-page letter. Coun Browne said: “She is completely and utterly out of order. It is not the council’s fault, it is a small number of people in the town who litter it up.
“The majority of Darreners are proud people but there are a few people who let us down.
“But it is not the council that is to blame.”
