A CARE home in the south Midlands is the 100th to be linked to Airedale Hospital’s telehealth hub, providing its residents with round-the-clock care.
Drovers House Residential Home, in Rugby, is the latest to benefit from having the telemedicine service which means its 75 residents can get urgent medical help from hospital consultants or specialist nurses via a secure video link. The service is provided by Immedicare – a partnership between Airedale Hospital, which takes patients from West Craven, and technical providers Involve – and has gone live in over 100 homes around the country.
The hospital will receive a payment from NHS commissioners in Rugby for each consultation.
