Self-managed club’s honour
EDGWORTH Bowling Club, the first in Blackburn with Darwen to go self-managed because of local government funding cuts, has become one of only four clubs nationally to hold the prestigious Club Mark award. Blackburn with Darwen Council environment boss Coun Jim Smith will use the club as an example of successes in the borough at tonight’s full council forum meeting.
