A DRUNK airline passenger from Dublin has been jailed for racially abusing former Blackburn Rovers and Clarets striker Andrew Cole.
Lee Byrne, 28, was jailed for 20 weeks for harassing the ex-England and Manchester United legend on an Aer Lingus flight. Byrne was also sentenced at Manchester’s Minshull Street Crown Court from being drunk on board a 9.30am Dublin to Manchester service.
Cole is said to have been ‘extremely humiliated and alarmed’ by the racial abuse.
