RISHTON Golf Club’s assistant greenkeeper has retired.
Tim Grawshaw has been replaced by Tom Heap, the club, which is situated in Hawthorn Drive, announced in a statement.
A spokesman said: “He is not leaving the club and is to continue as a member and remain on the board of directors as membership chairman.
“I would like to thank Tim for all his years of hard work and dedication to the role.
“He has always done it with a smile on his face – except at 6am in the morning – and has always been willing to go out of his way for the better of the club.
“He has and always will be considered an asset to the club.
“So feel free to shake his hand.
“Or pat him on the back for a job well and wish him a long and happy retirement.”
