I have every sympathy for the council workers on strike, some of whom are set to lose a large chunk of their earnings by bringing their salaries down, instead of taking other sectors up.

I hope these workers are not being used for political purposes by their unions to go on strike because of a coalition council.

It is strange that they go on strike when Labour loses control and for Coun Kate Hollern to suggest that the coalition are stubborn in their handling of this is a disgrace. This has been bubbling since Labour WAS in power, and they did not do anything, except wring their hands.

So it was nothing to do with the policies introduced by the discredited Labour government? The coalition are doing an excellent job in sorting out 24 years of Labour disasters.
