AFTER checking the results of our local elections, it was with deep regret that I found we had not just lost a ward councillor, but one who, over many years, has given 100per cent of her time looking after the needs of the people she represented.
We seem now to be entering a world of councillors who no longer walk the streets taking up problems raised by the people they represent. I now feel that the loss of Councillor Oldfield has created a very large void that will be very hard to fill.
I hope all her experience is not allowed to go to waste.
