Second, one per cent, or less, of footballers can have a red card cancelled after it has been awarded during a game played in England under English FA jurisdiction by appeal to the Welsh FA - ie, if you play for say Swansea, Cardiff, or Wrexham, you can, when playing in England, kick lumps out of the opposition knowing any red card can be appealed to the Welsh FA.

When Cardiff captain Purse picked up a red card at Turf Moor it was cancelled on appeal to the Welsh FA disciplinary panel whose chairman is a Cardiff City season ticket holder.
If that is not both corrupt and barmy, I don't know what is.
