RE the story about empty houses in Hamilton Street, Blackburn (LT April 30), is that the end of the story?
Do we as residents have to live with an eyesore that none of us want? Someone has to take responsibility for this mistake.
I was told there was only planning permission given to build smaller houses for older people. I am sure if smaller houses or bungalows had been built they would have sold. These would have appealed to the older people.
Quote from Whiteheads estate agents: "It was the wrong thing in the wrong place at the wrong time."
It was never the right thing in the right place. It was always the wrong thing in the wrong place at any time.
Name and address received.
Agreed, we need to know what is being done with these propertys, they've been left unfininished for ages.
Who are the going to be sold to? This sort of chaos can have a detrimental effect on local house prices.
Who was responsible for this nonsense?
