AS most people in Darwen will be aware, Friday, April 18 was on the windy side.
As one would expect on such a day, the refuse department's green bins were blowing about on Darwen's so busy A road.
The bin men, after emptying them, left them wherever they happened to drop, on return from the council truck. This I presume is the responsibility of the bin men for which they are paid and which I, a retired person, pay my ever- increasing dues.

If the bin men are given instructions to do this and don't, then their jobs should be considered.
If they are not given such instructions then it is the jobs of the officer or senior officer which should be considered.
