I WAS amazed at Councillor Salim Mulla (LT, April 9). He said forget America and back France.

When we had our backs to the wall after Dunkirk, who stood by us - America.

Europe was burning and supplies of food, oil and raw materials came on convoys from the States. Their bravery literally saved our bacon.

World War II may be over, but don't forget that the collaboration between France and Germany certainly is not.

The only reason The Mad Mulla is behind France is merely because they are more than happy to to direct huge amounts of bloody Muslims via camps like Sangetté in our direction via the Channel Tunnel. This means more supporters for him and his completely barking mad philosophies...

Don't be surprised at old Salim. remember he's not very good when it comes to British History, unless it suits his purpose.
He wasn't here during the second world war, and has no interest in supporting those who supported us!
