Roundabout is still chaotic

RECENTLY my wife and I had reason to sample the "magic roundabout" at Whitebirk.

It's a bit like a Formula One racing circuit with traffic lights, with cars switching lanes and going round the block at least twice, at 30 plus mph.

It is no better than 30 years ago when it was unadopted. When we made our return journey and approached the M65, we were greeted with a sign saying east and west.

I thought how jolly for new visitors to the town and newcomers moving in.

There is still the old fashioned friendship among motorists. Drivers still wave to one another, some using one finger, some using two. What do other drivers think about the roundabout?

Obviously Mr Crompton is not a regular user of the Whitebirk Roundabout. Since the changes were madeI haven't had to wait for more than a few moments to get through, compared to up to 20 or 25 minutes at peak times.

Definitely a massive improvement. I love it!

It is a massive improvement and i agree with the above post too.
Most of the folk struggling with it are those of an older era.
