Having seen the wonderful Steven Spielberg film ‘War Horse’, I was most impressed with the amazing cinematography.
Spielberg and his team are masters of their craft, so outstanding.
Of course, the stars of the film were the horses themselves.
The dialogue between the two soldiers was humorous, good natured and poignant, reflecting – as poet Wilfrid Owen said – ‘the pity and nonsense of war’.
But the film had extra significance for me as my father, Trooper Tom Robinson, served in the 1st WW Cavalry 6th Dragoon Guards.
He loved his horses and was forever talking about them, and his Cavalry days.
Ken Robinson, Blackburn.
