REGARDING the new Darwen Leisure Centre being ‘hideous’ according to Janet Anderson MP (LT, February 23), in my opinion the only thing wrong is the old stone frontage tacked on to the side.

It sticks out like a sore thumb. If you are having a 21st century building, don’t stick something on from another age.
