WATCHING Harry Potter films can inspire children to be more creative, according to a Lancaster University study.
Researchers aimed to establish whether there were any benefits in exposing youngsters to ‘magic’ – and found links between magical thinking and creativity.
The small-scale study involved 52 four to six-year-olds who were split into two groups and shown clips from Harry Potter And The Philosopher's Stone.
Experts said the findings showed that after watching the clips, the group who watched magical scenes scored ‘significantly better’ in creativity tests than the second group.
