A CHARITY Ladies Evening in aid of St John’s Hospice and Burton Morewood Primary School’s new playground fund promises glamorous race day fashion and horse racing fun.
A Day at the Races will be held on Friday, April 27, at the Castle Green Hotel at Kendal.
Organised by Burton-in-Kendal friends Cathy Skidmore and Louise Barker, highlights will include a fashion show by Phase Eight, Kendal, featuring a spring/summer range and what to wear for that special Day at the Races.
There will also be a Race Day hair and beauty by Jo and Cass Hair and Beauty at Kendal, sponsors of the event, along with a raffle and auction.
And those attending will also be able to place their bets on races which will be screened.
Organiser Cathy said: “We wanted to organise this event to support two very worthwhile local causes – and we wanted the ladies of South Lakeland and north Lancashire to enjoy a fun girls night out!”

Tickets are £24 each or £220 for a table of 10 and include buffet. The dress code is ‘Dress for a Day at the Races’.
