PROFESSIONAL chainsaw carver Rolande has transformed an old tree stump at Carnforth into two larger-than-life owls.
Bob Bailey, clerk of Carnforth Town Council, said the council was extremely grateful to the artist, who is based at Holme Mills, in Holme.
Rolande spent more than six hours turning the stump at the top of Haws Hill into "a beautiful piece of art" as a gift to the town, said Mr Bailey.
