CARNFORTH residents are to see a drop in the amount of council tax they pay to Carnforth Town Council for 2018/19.
Councillors agreed to increase the town council's share of the council tax bill by three per cent for the coming year. However, they heard the amount paid by each household would actually go down because of a "change in the tax base".
Members heard the budget for the coming year includes the purchase of a speed indicator device, and also help to Carnforth Twinning Association for hosting visitors from French twin town Sailly-sur-la-Lys this year.
