EFFORTS are being made to discover the address where former Tory cabinet minister Cecil Parkinson lived in Carnforth.
Carnforth Town Council is preparing a historic trail around the town, with printed guides, and it is hoped to feature Lord Parkinson's childhood home. The son of a railway worker, he was born in 1931 and died last year.
The council's town development committee is also considering a Brief Encounter art trail, to celebrate Carnforth's links with the classic David Lean film.
