Musical group's big date in Rishton

A LEADING musical collective from Hyndburn has lined up an eagerly-anticipated date in Burnley.

The Acapella Singers, from Rishton, will be performing at St Mary’s RC Church, Yorkshire Street, from 2.30pm, on Sunday, July 1.

The programme will feature of a host of light choral summer music, from She’s A Lassie From Lancashire, to Blow The Wind Southerly and Blaydon Races.

Several items by John Rutter will also be complemented by the likes of Mad Dogs and Englishmen, under the working title of ‘Come to the Fair’.
