A CHARITY set up in memory of a popular Hyndburn sportsman has installed its eight defibrillator in the area.
Stuart Maher set up the Philip Maher Foundation in 2015 after his father died age 62 after collapsing during a football match.
The charity has recently installed its eighth funded defibrillator at Rishton Cricket Club in Fletcher Road.
The group has been working to install the equipment in as many places as possible across the borough, especially at sports grounds.
A spokesman for the charity said: “This is the start of a very busy month or so for the charity.
“Thanks to all for your incredible generosity and continued support.”
