A CURRY house is looking to build on a successful first event to aid those in need and help even more people.
The Balti House in High Street, Rishton, welcomed more than 40 elderly people for a free meal at the end of March in the first of its monthly sessions welcoming vulnerable people and those in need.
The next event will take place at 7pm on Tuesday, April 25, and will invite people from Red Rose Recovery and Spring Hill Care Home.
Hussain Rashid runs the restaurant with his brothers and was pleased with the first event but wants to help even more people
He said: “We did really well, especially considering it was our first event.
“We’ve got spaces for 80 people to come in here and eat for free, and we want to fill them up.
“If we can get the support to hold these events two times a month then we’ll do it, we just want to do something to help those in need and give them a bit of company.
“We got a letter from guests after out last event just saying thank you, it touched our hearts.”
