A “SERIES of incidents” involving horses and their riders have been reported on a path linking Grasmere Close and Ullswater Close in Rishton.
A council spokesman said complaints about “startled animals being a danger to pedestrians” had forced the council into action.
One resident said: “Horse riding through the estate is becoming a popular pastime by many people, but neither horse riders, owners of houses, or the council clean up the mess left up behind.”
Cllr Ken Moss said councillors were now looking at ways of tackling the problem.
