AN arsonist is suspected of torching garden furniture inside a garage in Rishton late on Sunday evening.
Crews from Accrington fire station, in Hyndburn Road, were called to the blaze in Brook Street at around 11.25pm. There they found foam-backed garden chairs set on fire inside a brick garage, alongside some loose cardboard.

The garage suffered some smoke damage, although the fire did not spread.
The garage’s owner, the occupier of an adjacent house, was not in, a fire service spokesman said.
Nobody was injured or evacuated.
An investigation has been launched into the fire, which was being treated as deliberate, the spokesman added.
