TRIBUTES have been paid to a Rishton great-grandfather following his death, aged 71.
Peter Grives was described by his family as a “genuine family man who will be missed by all”.
Mr Grives was an Elvis Presley fanatic and loved to tinker with cars and motors, and especially loved American cars.
The former tool fitter and HGV driver also enjoyed watching local wildlife and would feed squirrels that ventured into his garden He died at his home on Christmas Eve.
Mr Grives is survived by his wife Joan, children Heath and Tina, grandchildren Dale, Emma, Che and Remy, and great-grandson Arron.
A funeral service will be held at Accrington Crematorium, Burnley Road, at 11am on Monday, January 5.
Donations in Mr Grives’ memory can be may to Cancer Research UK.
