A PHOTOGRAPHIC exhibition which transformed a derelict pub into a work of art has been preserved on film.
The video shows a behind the scenes view of the recent arts project at Church’s Commercial Hotel.
For the past two years, youngsters have worked with photographer Scott Kershaw and with historian David Chadwick at the Civic Arts Centre in Oswaldtwistle.
Youngsters worked on the plan throughout this summer, photographing people and interviewing them about their lives.
They pasted photographs, quotes and memorabilia onto the facade of the Commercial Hotel, at the Church and Oswaldtwistle gateway in Blackburn Road.
The text and photographs pasted on to the walls have since been removed after constant downpours caused the new facade to peel.
The photography and arts project, called Ways of Seeing, is part of Lancashire museum’s Cultural Olympiad, which plans to show Lancashire arts projects at the 2012 Olympics opening ceremony.
