A LOLLIPOP man is swapping Christmas presents for cash to help raise money for a children’s charity.

Justin Derbyshire, 37, who is the lollipop man outside St Oswald’s Primary School, Knuzden, was asked by children what he would like for Christmas.

But rather than presents, Justin has asked for a ‘small donation’ that will be given to children’s cancer charity, CLIC Sargent He said: “The children kindly asked what I wanted for Christmas. Instead of wasting money on chocolates or wine I would like the money to be donated to the children’s charity.”

Justin, who has been a lollipop man for two years, has raised £85 already and said he was hoping to get ‘lots more’.

He added: “The money is still coming and hopefully there will be lots more cash to come.”
