RESIDENTS are being urged to have their say on the possibility of creating town councils to bring local government to grass roots' level.
Hyndburn Council will send consultation documents about the proposals to homes on Monday.
If approved, the outlying districts could get their own elected town councils and smaller towns like Baxenden and Huncoat may be given responsibility for managing their own budgets and making decisions that directly affect their areas.
Residents will be given two weeks to express their views.
To offer your thoughts, return the form which is also available from the Town Hall, libraries and neighbourhood management offices up to April 28.
