A 27-YEAR-OLD Huncoat man continued to claim incapacity benefit, and job seekers’ allowance, despite getting a job at Pound Stretcher.
Gregory Potter, of Windermere Avenue, pleaded guilty to making a false statement to obtain benefit, and also failing to notify a change of circumstances that would affect his entitlement.
Potter was remanded on bail by Blackburn magistrates for the preparation of a pre-sentence report.
John Wood, prosecuting, said there had been a total overpayment of £3,817.
