LAST month' 'was one of the windiest October in some years' according to a regional weather expert.
Roy Chetham, who has a weather station in Huncoat has revealed his statistics for last month which showed the weather to be 'wet dull and windy'.
However half of the month's rain fall came in two days on Saturday 21 and Wednesday 4, he said.
In total there was 161.9mm of rain which fell throughout the month.
Mr Chetham also said with an average wind speed of 5.5mph it was 'the highest in October for some years'.
His statistics also revealed there were just five dry days last month and a total of 15 sunless days.
Concluding, Mr Chetham said: "It was very wet, very dull, very windy and very mild."
