CHARITY footballers are hoping to hit their goal of raising £1,000 for a children's hospice.
Accrington pub football teams from the Queen's Hotel, Eastgate, and The Railway, Blackburn Road, hope to help children at Derian House, Chorley, with a charity match at Accrington Stanley's Fraser Eagle Stadium.
Queen's Hotel landlord Gordon Harness said: "We've been doing various fundraisers for Derian House for the last two years with events in the pub and have raised £2,500 for them in the past."

The two teams last played for charity in February, when they raised £350 for Sport Relief but they are aiming to raise almost three times as much with their match for Derian House.
The match between Queen's Celtic and Railway Rangers is tomorrow at 6.30pm.
