CALLS have been made to help stamp out fly-tipping after several incidents in Great Harwood in recent weeks.
Residents in Blackburn Road were left 'annoyed' over the weekend after part of a conservatory was dumped in an alley between Lord Street and St Huberts Road.
Although the rubbish has now been cleared, it was the 'third time in six weeks' fly-tipping had occurred in the alley and the second time from a conservatory.
Calls are now being made to catch those responsible and take firm action to clamp down on those doing it.
A Blackburn Road resident said: "It was dangerous, there was still glass in it.
"It looks quite distinct, someone should know where it came from
"It was completely blocking the path off.
"This is the third time in six weeks this has happened, it has to stop."
Cllr Noordad Aziz, who represents the area on Hyndburn Council, said: "It seems to be an ongoing problem, it is very annoying.
"The council will prosecute anyone caught fly-tipping, it is not on.
"It is disheartening for anyone who is keeping the area tidy."
