A CARE home has undergone a major refurbishment.
Townfield & Coach House in Church Street, Great Harwood, has been undergoing a redesign of its lounge area over the past month.
The care home, which specialises in caring for older people who have dementia or other memory problems, has modernised its lounge to make it a more 'dementia friendly' space.
The lounge now includes good lighting, comfortable seating and is a relaxing and engaging atmosphere for anyone with dementia to relax.
It has been redesigned based on guidance provided by the Dementia Services Development Centre at the University of Sterling.
The care home will hold a coffee and cake afternoon on Wednesday, November 22, between 1pm and 3pm, for people to look around.
