STAFF at a plant hire and recycling firm in Great Harwood were surprised to find an extra vehicle on their site today.
Lurking in the middle of Stanley Brothers Tippers diggers and trucks in their yard off Alan Ramsbottom Way was a luggage carrying tractor and trailer stolen from Manchester Airport last night.
This lunchtime Lancashire Road Police tweeted a picture of he vehicle saying: "Just recovered in Gt Harwood, stolen yesterday from Manchester Airport. Very swift response from #T3TacOps and #Eastneighbourhood."
A police spokesman said this afternoon: "Tracker activation at about noon today from the vehicle and traced to Stanley Bros Tippers off Alan Ramsbottom Way.
"The owner traced and informed.
"It was stolen from Manchester Airport last night."
No-one from Stanley Brothers Tippers on Station Road Industrial Estate was available to comment.
