THE organisers of Great Harwood Farmers Market is calling on people to come along to celebrate a year since taking over.
Andrew Wallin took over the running of market last summer and is now urging more people to come down and support the event.
Since taking over Mr Wallin has spent time producing leaflets and banners to advertise the market and lift its profile.
He has also brought in a number of new stalls to take the total to more than 10 selling fresh produce.
He has also organised for three new gazebos for the next event.
Mr Wallin said: “It’s been nearly a year since I took over now and I just think let’s get the market on the up and keep supporting it.
“I am still hoping I can grow the market as there still a lot of people who have said to me they didn’t know about it.”
The next event will take place on Sunday, June 4 from 10am at the the towngate in Great Harwood.
