TWO school children have been cast in a Christmas video about parenting during the festive time.

The 13 year-old Joel Atkin and 10 year-old Scarlett Atkin, both from Clayton-le-Moors, play a brother and sister in the video.

The video, has had more than 10,000 views on social media channels in the first 72 hours after being published.

It has been produced by Lancashire family-owned motor retailer Bowker Motor Group which includes sites Bowker BMW and MINI in Blackburn and Bowker Maserati and Ribble Valley in Osbaldeston.

The story is about a young girl played by Scarlett who is frustrated about her family spending too much time on mobile phones.

Joel attends St Christopher’s CE High School in Accrington and Scarlett attends All Saints C of E Primary, Clayton-le-Moors, Accrington.

Their Dad Chris Atkin makes a surprise cameo appearance in the video too.

Bowker Motor Group marketing manager Amy Lancaster, said: “The Bowker Christmas video is a traditional event in the calendar. This year we wanted to try something a bit different. It’s the first time we have cast people from outside the business to take part. We are delighted with the result. Joel and Scarlett did a wonderful job.”

In previous years Bowker Christmas videos have seen dogs fly into space whilst on a test drive; children take over the dealership; staff singing Christmas carols and discussing festive food.

The video was filmed and produced for Bowker Motor Group by Preston-based PR agency The Buzz Factory.
