POLICE were called out to reports of people smashing windows of houses in Hyndburn this morning.
Officers were called to the incident in Moore Street in Clayton-le-Moors at around 11.30am.
The perpetrators are believed to have smashed all the windows of one home using a scaffolding pole, and then damaged another property in the street before fleeing the scene.
Detectives then conducted a search of the area involving response officers, dog officers, traffic officers, neighbourhood officers, armed response and a helicopter, before discovering the offenders in a caravan off Pickup Street.
Two men have been arrested in connection with the incident.
