A TEENAGE girl kicked a male police officer where it hurts when he was called to eject her from the Salvation Army Hostel.
Blackburn magistrates heard the officer “keeled over” onto the ground because of the pain and discomfort he felt as a result of the kick to the groin.
Nicole Howe, 18, of Warwick Street, Church, pleaded guilty to assaulting a police officer. She was given a conditional discharge for 12 months and ordered to pay £50 compensation to the officer and £40 costs.
Eddie Harrison, prosecuting, said police were called to the hostel because Howe had returned in a drunken state and staff were not prepared to allow her to stay.
She tipped over a table when asked to leave and as the officer was stood directly in front of him she kicked out.
Angela Rossi, defending, said Howe could not remember much about the incident.
