Thirty firefighters battle blaze at Hyndburn breakers yard

A MAJOR blaze at a Hyndburn breakers yard has seen dozens of vehicles badly damaged this morning.
At its height 30 firefighters were tackling the blaze, near to the business off Dunkenhalgh Way, Church, at 3.45am.
Police said there were initial concerns that smoke could affect visability on the nearby M65, but this has not occured.
A 100-metre cordon was put in place because of fears of gas cannisters at the site.
But fire crews said the blaze is now almost completely out.
A cordon is to remain in place in the area until at least 12.30pm.
