Scooter rider injured in Dunkenhalgh Way crash

A MAN was thrown off a scooter when it was involved in a collision with a Vauxhall Zafira car in Church this afternoon.
Dunkenhalgh Way was partially blocked in both directions following the accident, which happened near its junction with Henry Street, around 5pm.
Police said the man suffered minor injuries and was taken by ambulance to Royal Blackburn Hospital.
Officers closed part of Henry Street for around 20 minutes, causing traffic tailbacks.
