A HYNDBURN firm has helped bring new hope for a girl’s life-changing operation.

Express Gifts Ltd replaced £1,000 worth of stolen raffle prizes which were for a fundraiser for a five-year-old girl who lives near Manchester.

Michelle Stonehouse and her daughter, Ria, were left stunned and heartbroken, after thieves stole the gifts from Canterbury Road Day Nursery, in Davyhulme.

The mother-of-one had accumulated an array of exciting raffle prizes to raise money to send her five year-old daughter, who suffers from cerebral palsy, to the U.S. for life changing surgery that will help Ria walk unaided for the first time.

Upon hearing Ria’s story, Express Gifts contacted the family to offer their support and donated goods for the raffle, to ensure as much cash as possible is raised for the worthy cause.

Leanne Murray from Express Gifts said: “When we heard the story of the theft, we were glad to be of assistance in replacing the prizes.

“We have donated a variety of products, including: an Xbox 360, an e-reader, DVD player, bikes and lots more.

"We hope that the new prizes will help to raise lots of money to help Ria’s charity.”
