A SPONSORED walk and fun day is taking place on Sunday in aid of an appeal to send a three-year-old boy to America for vital cancer treatment.
Charlie Procter, from Church, was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer called hepatoblastoma last year.
After undergoing 19 chemotherapy treatments, Charlie’s parents Amber and Ben are now attempting to raise the £250,000 needed to travel to Cincinnati to get their son the treatment that the NHS does not provide.
Places on a coach from Accrington to an event in Heysham on Sunday are still available leaving Accrington at 10am and Oswaldtwistle at 10.15 am.
The walk 4.3 kilometre walk leaves Heysham village at 11.30am and reaches Morecambe Bay Hotel on the prom for 12.30pm, where there will be entertainment, a balloon release, sales and a raffle.
To book a free place on the coach leaving Hyndburn call Dawn on 07412 303832.
